Classic Saab 900 Stainless Steel Headlamp Adjuster

Headlamp beam suddenly pointing at the floor? Or bouncing around when you go over bumps?

A common fault on the 9000 headlamp is failure of the tie-rod that locates the reflector. On the CS (and later CD), this causes the reflector to drop and the headlamp beam to point at the road immediately in front of the car. On earlier cars, the reflector does not drop but the headlamp beam can be seen to "bounce" up and down when the car drives over a bump.

This part has never been available from Saab and previously the only solution was to replace the headlamp at substantial cost.

SAABits has designed and manufactured a robust tie-rod to replace the original part with its brittle plastic clip. Includes a 10mm hexagonal end to allow fitting without special tools, requiring only a 10mm spanner or socket.

To fit:

• Saab 9000 hatchback models from model year 1991 onwards
• All Saab 9000 CD models
• Saab 900 models 1987-1993 (and convertible 1994)
