Coronavirus Update

As coronavirus (COVID-19) starts to take effect in the UK, we would like to update our customers on our current operations.

The recent UK Government announcement concerning the temporary closure of retail outlets does not affect Internet-only businesses so while we are following Government advice very strictly, we continue to trade as normal and we are committed to offering uninterrupted service to our customers.

With minor exceptions, our deliveries continue as normal. Due to reduced airline capacity to the USA, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, China and Kuwait, our usual Parcel Force service for larger packages to those countries is not available and we can make alternative arrangements.

Large parcel deliveries to a few countries have been suspended temporarily.

If your order is affected we will get in touch before shipping.

Royal Mail international shipments may take longer than usual but so far are otherwise unaffected.

Royal Mail Special Delivery services are not currently guaranteed, although RM will still aim to deliver them by the stated deadline.

If you have any concerns about receiving parcels, Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of virus don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.

To minimise the chance of transmission, our couriers in the UK (Royal Mail and Parcelforce) are instructed not to obtain a signature but rather to record the delivery by other means.  

We have temporarily disabled the "Pick up in person" delivery option on the web-site. Due to our out-of-the-way location and our global customer-base, very few customers use this option. We will reinstate it once the situation is relaxed.
